Chairs for Charity

mandp

In 2017, Annie Sloan was invited to visit Ethiopia by Oxfam to view the Seed Project Oxfam, a program developed for the women of the region to earn an income growing and selling onion seed. From this visit Annie was inspired to create a special paint colour to celebrate this programme and to raise funds to support Oxfam with their work. The paint colour is called Lem Lem, a word meaning “to flourish” in the Amharic language of Ethiopia. The Makers and Painters Market is supporting this initiative through their unique Chairs for Charity fundraiser. In the cafe, you will be sitting on chairs painted with Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan and signed personally by Annie Sloan. The chairs are for sale by silent auction. Each chair is numbered. Fill out the form with the number of the chair you would like to own, your bid price and your details and pop it in the mailbox. The highest bidder will own the chair. All proceeds will go to Oxfam to support this worthy cause.
